As an accomplished and dedicated artist of Bharatanatyam, a celebrated Indian classical dance form, Megha has over 20 years of experience both as a performer and as a teacher. Megha approached me to redesign her branding as a dancer with a simple but elegant design approach. The main typography is chosen based on the elegance of the dance form and her dedication to it, complimenting it with the simple sans serif with lots of variations so it can be used in different ways. The project will further include the design of the brochure, website, and other assets to represent her brand.

"Inidani" is a multilingual (Kannada and English) magazine published by Shivalli Kutumba of North America for their biennial summit "Sammilana" held in Austin, Texas 2023. The magazine showcases a variety of stories and poems written by the members of the organization. This concept is very close to my heart as it tells a story of my hometown Udupi, a small town in the southern part of India in the state of Karnataka. “Shivalli Brahmins” form a prominent community that lives on the western coast, the Parshurama Sristi, in the state of Karnataka in India. The word “Shivalli” is an ancient name in the Udupi district, which means “Brahmins of this district”. The inspiration for the cover came from the map of the district that spanned from Kasargod to Kundapura and various things that constitute the culture. This falls under one of my favorite categories of work I like to do as a designer and as a person who grew up in this culture.
