Proof that some places are worth the hype 🥾✨

I’ve had The Narrows on my bucket list as long as I’ve had one, and I finally got to cross it off. 🥹

Story-time(!): We got up around 5am to get to get to the park early. We were parked around 6:15am, and parking spots were filling by the minute. We rushed to the bus station area and were lucky enough to get on the first bus out of the park (7am) on a Saturday morning! Because we started so early, there were hardly any other people other there with us on our walk out. We hiked a total of 7-8 miles! The sunrise in the park and golden light in the canyons was unbelievable. 🌅

Always staying until after the sun sets 🌅

Story behind these photos - When hiking the South Kaibab trail in the Grand Canyon, we came across a park ranger. He was following the trail with a pack full of water and salty snacks in the event that anyone was having a hard time. After 5-10 minutes of chatting, he told us that we HAD to go to this spot for sunset to watch the canyon turn blue. I’m so happy we did!

Saw the Window’s screensaver in real life! 🧡

📍 Lower Antelope Canyon | Page, Arizona

Fun Fact: Every inch of the canyon is roughly 500 years (per our Navajo guide). These slot canyons were formed in rock 180 million years ago by flash-flooding, and they’re still getting deeper and wider.

We chose Lower over Upper because it felt a little more adventurous — ladders, tighter passageways, more curves, and just overall more immersive.

*** You MUST have a guide to tour antelope canyon, upper or lower - there is no other option.
