New Jersey's Transportation Trust Fund -- the engine behind road, rail and bridge repair in the state -- is scheduled to run dry on July 1. The fund is vital for commuters, for commerce, for overall safety and for employment of the men and women who work on our transportation infrastructure.
We developed this spot for our client ELEC -- the Engineers Labor-Employer Cooperative, which is the labor-management fund of Operating Engineers Local 825. It shows the complexity of New Jersey's transportation networks, the efficiency and expertise of Local 825 members and their union contractors and it debunks special interests' claims that road construction in New Jersey are proportionately higher than in other states.
The TV spot began airing this week and urges public officials to "Fix the Transportation Trust Fund Now!"
