Happy Monday! Here are 4 social media tips for small businesses 😊

1. Establish your identity and target audience.
First things first. Establish your brand. Once you establish who you are as a business then you can think about who it is you are trying to reach. Knowing who you are talking to helps to fine tune your goals.

2. Pick 2-3 social media platforms and be consistent.
A common mistake small business owners make is trying to be very present on every social media platform under the sun. This becomes time consuming and hard to keep up with. Start with choosing 2-3 platforms where your target audience is and focus on creating killer content that really resonates with them. Then be consistent. You don’t have to post everyday to be successful. Choose quality over quantity. 3 quality posts per week is better than trying to scrape up something to post every single day.

3. Be authentic and have fun with your content!
If you have fun making it your audience will more than likely enjoy seeing it! A good way to filter what you post on social media is by asking yourself if it would add value to your target audience. Would it entertain them? Would it inform them? Is this something they would stop scrolling to interact with?

4. Use analytics to track progress and growth.
Pick a couple key metrics that align with your goals to focus on. Tracking your monthly analytics helps you see how your audience is interacting with your content and how you can continue to crush your goals moving forward.
