It's time to play a game!

Which is the screen print, and which is the heat transfer?

Screen printing uses a stencil to deposit ink directly onto the fibers of the shirt.
Heat transfer uses direct to film printing and is attached to the top of the fibers of the shirt using a heat press.

Can you tell the difference?

Do we accept clothing that hasn't been purchased from us for customizing? Yes*. BUT...

Please be sure that your provided apparel is clean. Yes, we really need to say this.

ESPECIALLY for high-definition heat transfers, it is imperative that your apparel is wrinkle free and pet hair/debris free. A heat press does not work like an iron and usually makes wrinkles worse. You do not want a beautiful design folded over on your fabric or covering pet hair or lint. We should not have to clean your items to customize them.

Finally, be sure that your apparel is smoke and smell free. A heat press amplifies any smells or odors in the fabric, which can get pretty unappealing.

We try to help you out by creating using your provided goods. Please help us out by abiding by these requests.

*We do not accept certain brands for customizing and individuals bringing high value or sentiment items must sign a waiver that releases us from liability or responsibility to replace items that are damaged during the customization process.

We'll be honest - full back embroidery can be expensive (embroidery is priced by the number of stitches). But sometimes, bigger is better.

Al Pipkin has dedicated a large portion of his life giving back the town of Berlin. He is respected by all who know him and has been a customer of American Embroidery. We share this to help.

Fireman Allan Pipkin has served the Berlin community and surrounding towns for over 40 years. Al has dedicated his life to helping others, always putting the needs of his neighbors first. His wife Jeanne has been by his side, supporting him throughout his career as a firefighter. Their kindness and commitment have touched countless lives, and now they are facing a heartbreaking challenge themselves.

Today, their house burned down, and they lost everything—including two of their three beloved cats. The devastation is overwhelming, and they are left with nothing but the hope of rebuilding their lives. To make matters even more difficult, Al had just undergone major back surgery last week. He was lucky to escape the fire, moving a little slower than usual, but now faces a long road to recovery and healing.

Your donations will help in many ways: providing food, clothing, medical needs, housing, and all the essential things of everyday life as Al and Jeanne start over. With great sadness, I am asking for your help. Please give what you can—everything will help. Thank you for your support.

There are some projects that mean a little more than others, and this was definitely one of them.

We were honored to be chosen to create the golfer gifts for this year's TCOP Foundation golf tournament. Each participant received a custom embroidered soft-spacer ¼ zip featuring the foundation's logo—a keepsake designed to be worn and enjoyed long after the final putt dropped.

With beautiful weather, a great turnout, and so many people coming together in support of the foundation's mission, it was a special day from start to finish. We never take for granted the trust our customers place in us, especially when it comes to events that carry such meaning for the people involved.

Thank you to the foundation for allowing American Embroidery to play a small part in such an important event. We're grateful for the opportunity to help bring your vision to life and support the incredible work you do in our community.
