There's gonna be a new place to eat up in Mt Hope Ohio. Sam's Place - Breakfast & Pizza is going in where the old Country Mart store was. The owner is Sam Yoder. I figure they'll have pizza and breakfast sandwiches ready to go similar to how a small area of the store was setup. Seating? Not sure but I'd guess there'll be some tables and chairs also. Won't be long. They're hoping to be up and running by mid June. I think it's gonna be a great fit for Mt Hope.

An accident in Wayne County at the Kidron and Harrison Road intersection a couple miles south of Kidron Ohio. A van overturned and a car, also overturned. Tragic. Prayers.

A couple days ago I got this notice from the Sheriff's office:
US 62 At County Road 207 is closed due to a crash please find an alternate route.
This is a dangerous intersection. Use CAUTION here.
I talked with one of the neighbors I know. She said the accident involved a car and a pickup. One vehicle was headed south on 62, the other pulled out onto 62. There was a collision. She thought a couple people were taken to the hospital but she didn't think there were any real serious injuries. A few other notes:
1. I told her I remember hearing of a horrific accident here quite a few years ago. She said she'll never forget it. She saw a car go by and heard a loud crash. I believe it was a head-on collision. A gruesome accident. She said she was afraid of going out on the roads again for quite a while.
2. I was the first person at the scene of an accident here many years ago when a high school girl hit another vehicle. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt but she was all shook up. Understandably so.
3. In this video I'm driving eastbound on TR 414 toward Rt 62. I used to travel this route every morning for quite a while. I remember when the mini barn setting there was put up. There's no doubt that it obstructs the view of the stop sign. I remember a number of times I was startled when I saw the stop sign seemingly appearing out of nowhere. Even after I knew of the potential hazard.

It's especially wonderful to walk into a greenhouse for the first time every spring. It's a busy time of year at the Amish country greenhouses like this at the Fredericksburg Greenhouse. A whole lot of work goes into this before the doors ever open.

Wow! Over 3,500 lots of furniture will be auctioned off at the spring furniture auction going on now at the Mt Hope Ohio Auction grounds. Here's a 360° view of just the main building.

Albert Yoder helping with Steve Chupp Auctions gave me a lot of useful information.
There's about 175,000 square feet full of furniture.
Auction on Friday at 3pm.
Saturday Auction starts at 9am with 7 rings running simultaneously.
Over 3,500 lots of hardwood furniture to auction.

A green helicopter lifts off from an Amish school yard this evening near Walnut Creek Ohio. It was used to drop loads of eggs this morning for the children's Easter egg drop at the Farm at Walnut Creek annual event.
