On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed.
Early that morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes. Two planes struck the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and a fourth, Flight 93, crashed in a field in Shanksville, PA after brave passengers fought back.
Today we honor the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the strength of a nation that came together.
We remember. We will never forget.
