Introducing Intern Cam šŸŽ„

Emerson’s our intern, and on this trip he’s basically giving the play-by-play of everything happening in Dallas.

He’s a huge Dude Perfect fan, so we stopped by just so he could see the building… and somehow ended up running into the Dude Perfect Interns

Then the very next day, we’re filming for a client and the President is literally right across the street.

We cannot make this up šŸ˜‚ Dallas has been WILD.

More Intern Cam coming soon.

Trying to build our marketing agency to $50K/month… and this is what Day 1 in Texas looks like šŸ˜‚

We’re incredibly blessed to have clients in another state who trust us enough to bring our team out, create content, and help tell their stories.

One thing we keep learning: great marketing is not just about making content. It’s about understanding the business, the people behind it, and what actually makes the brand worth paying attention to.

So we’re showing up, learning, creating, laughing, and figuring things out as we go.

We’re not at the goal yet, but that’s the whole point of documenting the journey.

Road to $50K/Month — Texas Vlog Day 1.

Birmingham creators, we have something special coming.

On Monday, September 14 at 4 PM, we’re hosting a small creator event at Santos Coffee in Gardendale for a revealing renovation, a special tasting, and an announcement we’re really excited to share.

If you’re a local food creator, lifestyle creator, or someone who has been consistently creating content around Birmingham, we’d love to hear from you.

And we want to make one thing clear: follower count does not matter to us.

We’re not looking for the biggest account. We’re looking for people who genuinely show up for Birmingham, highlight local businesses, tell good stories, and are helping build the community through their content.

That’s a big reason we wanted to do this in the first place. Local creators have a real impact on where people eat, shop, visit, and spend their time. We want to build stronger relationships between creators and the businesses that make Birmingham special.

Spots are very limited, so this will be first come, first served.

Must be available:
Monday, September 14
4 PM
Santos Coffee, Gardendale

DM Sunny Win Media with your social media account if you’d like to be considered, or DM the word ā€œcommunityā€ to Sunny Win Media.

We can’t wait to reveal the renovation, share a special tasting, and show you what’s coming.

You don’t always need to go viral.

If you’re a local business, the goal is to be seen by the people who can actually walk through your doors.

Social media is becoming more localized, and that creates a huge opportunity for small businesses that consistently show up, tell their story, and connect with their community.

Sometimes 10,000 views across the country aren’t as valuable as 1,000 views from people right down the road.

Be known where you do business.

One thing Loklin and I talk about all the time is this:

Your photos are part of your product.

Especially if you own a restaurant.

Before someone ever walks through your door, they’ve probably already looked at your Instagram, Google page, website, or TikTok. And whether we realize it or not, those photos are already shaping their expectations.

If the food looks average online, people assume the experience is average.

If it looks fresh, intentional, and high quality, people expect that same level when they show up.

That’s why we don’t look at photography as ā€œjust content.ā€

It’s positioning.

It’s perception.

It’s part of the customer experience before the customer ever becomes a customer.

What people see online is what they expect to receive in real life.

So if your product is great, make sure your content actually proves it.

One thing I’m really thankful for at Sunny Win Media is having long term clients who trust us enough to grow with us.

Cobia Realty Group has been one of those clients.

What I love about working with them is that we never try to make them be somebody they’re not. Our job is to help bring out who they already are, tell their story, and let people actually get to know the people behind the business.

Yes, trends are great. Viral videos are great. Views are great.

But if people don’t know who you are, trust you, or feel connected to you, none of that really matters.

At the end of the day, business is still about relationships.

I’m grateful for Brandon and Sheree for continuing to trust me and my team with their story, their brand, and their business. This testimony means a lot to us.

Scaling a business will test your patience, your discipline, and your confidence.

I’m in that season right now.

I know the breakthrough is coming, but some days it still feels impossible.

And I’ve realized something funny.

As a marketing consultant, I’m constantly telling businesses to post more, promote themselves, tell their story, and stay visible.

But sometimes I forget to do the exact same thing for my own business.

If you want to grow, people have to know you exist.

If you don’t post, you don’t get seen.

If you don’t talk about what you do, someone else will.

One of my teachers used to tell me, ā€œYou always finish everyone else’s homework before you do your own.ā€

That still hits.

It’s easy to help other people build their businesses. It’s harder to step back and do the work on your own.

So this is me doing my homework.

Showing up.
Promoting the business.
Trusting the process.
And pushing through the ceiling even when doubt tells me to slow down.

Growth isn’t always comfortable.

But neither is staying where you are.

Usama Siddiquee is one of those comedians I’ve really enjoyed watching because he’s not afraid to put himself out there.

As an Asian American, I respect how he can tell stories about growing up, Asian parents, culture, and our experiences without making it feel like he’s degrading where we come from. He makes it funny because it’s REAL.

And that’s what sticks.

Comedy is hard. Getting on stage and taking the risk of trying to make a room full of people laugh is something most people would never do.

But one thing I’ve learned from watching Usama is how hard he works at building his personal brand. He keeps showing up. Keeps creating. Keeps telling stories. Keeps putting his personality out there.

That’s marketing too.

People don’t want boring. They want personality. They want stories. They want someone they can remember.

Sometimes the best way to market yourself is simply being yourself so unapologetically that people can’t forget you.

Much respect to Usama for continuing to put Asian comedians on the map and showing another generation that our stories deserve to be heard too.

Keep taking risks. Keep telling your story.

Building Sunny Win Media to $50K/month starts with getting organized.

Loklin and I have been wanting a whiteboard for a while, and today we finally got one.

It sounds simple, but having your goals, ideas, numbers, and next moves right in front of you really helps.

One thing I’m learning in business: stay organized, set clear goals, and know exactly what you’re working toward.

We’re still building. Still learning. Still improving.

One goal at a time. šŸ“ˆ

Small businesses, don’t overlook the creators right in your own city.

You don’t always need the biggest influencer or someone with hundreds of thousands of followers. Sometimes the best person to help tell your story is someone local who already understands the community, the culture, the people, and what actually gets attention in your area.

Local creators are already eating at the restaurants, shopping at the stores, going to the events, and talking to the same people you’re trying to reach.

That connection matters.

At Sunny Win Media, I believe small businesses grow stronger when we support local talent, build real relationships, and create content that actually feels like the community it represents.

If you’re a local content creator or a small business, tag yourself below. Let’s help people discover who’s creating and building right here in our community.

Work local. Create local. Grow local.
