22/52 ***Read the whole post for an announcement about my business practices!

I keep being drawn to this in between moment. Cousins running and enjoying time together as they escaped a little of the posed moments I’d been directing! I think often a good session has a few of these moments mixed in! And they make me so happy!

***I also feel like it’s a good time to share a decision I’ve made for my business! Going forward I will no longer be posting the full face of children (I may post the sides of their faces or them looking away) on my page! With the evolving world of ai I want to do my part to keep you and your family safe! I will also give you the option for me to not post your family at all if that aligns with you and your loved ones. Just let me know and I’m so happy to respect that. I deeply wish this wasn’t the world we lived in, in regard to technology. I was scrolling through photos the other day to find something from our time in Birmingham and couldn’t believe how many incredible memories filled 2022. It makes me really miss that season!

10/52 My favorite type of butterflies have always been the blue ones 🦋 and I’ve had this vision of doing something like this, in my head for a while. I love the whimsy and lightness that butterflies have, I also love their often intricate designs,and their feminine and transformative qualities. I’ve seen other photographers do self portraits and been impressed but I had this overwhelming feeling that if I do it, it will be vain. Posting these feels scary and weird, not gonna lie! So, thank you to those who see and support me and this creativity. This is part of my year long goal to create a photo shoot once a month just for me( inspired by )! I also roped my kids into it and I’m really excited to share those photos soon! I might even post some in my story tonight. If you read this far let me know if you saw the 🐈‍⬛ and what your favorite butterfly is!

On a heavier note after I ordered and put together this idea news about the blue butterfly zone in dilly came out as well as the meaning it has within the files. Because of this while fun and creative this shoot also had some heaviness to it for me. I don’t really share much of my political thoughts on my business page, but if you know me personally or follow my personal page you know where I stand but I do want you to know if you read this far my thoughts were on the girls as I did this and my heart was and is heavy for them and I want justice for all who are in the files and who are being abused now by ice or others in this world, release all the files. 🦋
