10/52 My favorite type of butterflies have always been the blue ones 🦋 and I’ve had this vision of doing something like this, in my head for a while. I love the whimsy and lightness that butterflies have, I also love their often intricate designs,and their feminine and transformative qualities. I’ve seen other photographers do self portraits and been impressed but I had this overwhelming feeling that if I do it, it will be vain. Posting these feels scary and weird, not gonna lie! So, thank you to those who see and support me and this creativity. This is part of my year long goal to create a photo shoot once a month just for me( inspired by )! I also roped my kids into it and I’m really excited to share those photos soon! I might even post some in my story tonight. If you read this far let me know if you saw the 🐈‍⬛ and what your favorite butterfly is!

On a heavier note after I ordered and put together this idea news about the blue butterfly zone in dilly came out as well as the meaning it has within the files. Because of this while fun and creative this shoot also had some heaviness to it for me. I don’t really share much of my political thoughts on my business page, but if you know me personally or follow my personal page you know where I stand but I do want you to know if you read this far my thoughts were on the girls as I did this and my heart was and is heavy for them and I want justice for all who are in the files and who are being abused now by ice or others in this world, release all the files. 🦋

8/52 So honored to capture Ian’s Senior session! I have known him since the day he came home from the hospital. So, this session was truly so special to me! He is such an awesome person, talented in Basketball a hard worker and truly genuine and kind to those around him! I cannot believe he is a Senior 🤯I’m so excited to see where life takes him!

7/52 You guys this is my stunning sister and her beautiful daughter + husband! I’m obsessed with their in home newborn session and can’t believe I haven’t posted. She is just an incredible delight! I’m so honored to have captured these moments of her first days 🤍🤍🤍

6/52 My ethereal ghosty girl! 🤍👻 I recently wrote a blog about these photos ( so if you want to read more or see different photos go check it out on my website evarostories.com ) and I’m trying to figure out how to share all of it in a more concise way. 😬 Essentially this year one of my goals is to do a creative shoot each month ( I was motivated to do this by during her talk last year 🫣 at in the exhibit) and this was January’s. I really love how it pushed me to play with light in a way I may not have done in a paid shoot! My daughter modeled and we had so much fun talking about the concept and planning together! I’m excited to show you each new creative session as it comes together! I’m currently working on Februaries 🦋!

Love getting to document different seasons of parenthood! Getting to capture the way parents love their kids and vice versa is such an honor. It’s all in the little moments! It’s not just a photo session it’s an experience of time together snuggling, laughing, holding hands, little kisses and sometimes being tossed in the air! 🤍

I’ve been thinking a lot about this beautiful, intimate, cozy, perfect wedding reception! Take me back there please!

It was hosted at General a store and cafe in the Forest Park neighborhood of Birmingham! I highly recommend going there if you haven’t been, if you live there or are visiting the city 🤍
