Agency54

Agency54 Agency54 is a Birmingham based multicultural communications + public affairs firm. We focus on advertising, public relations, marketing, + creating experiences.

[In 1952, Dr. Jesse J. Lewis started with an idea… History was made. A legacy was forged. Over a span of six decades, breaking down barriers and doing the impossible has been the results of his entrepreneurial leadership.]

Our story begins in 1954, founded by Dr. Jesse J. Lewis, Sr., as the first multi-cultural marketing firm in the United States. Tapping into the political climate and creating a lane for government agencies and corporations alike, to advertise uniquely to African-Americans. Now move forward through time by sixty-two years, present day—the “Digitally Infused" era of our civilization. In this hyper-connected world, the ability to yield results are derived from the responsive connections that humans and their lifestyles have in relation to the modern society. Consumers have changed their needs and we have adapted to meet them on behalf of our clients.
