Brian is passionate about working alongside communities to create spaces that make life easier. His time as a stay-at-home dad taught him that community can be built anywhere, and that making a difference starts with showing up for the people around you.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the 63rd Memorial Observance of the 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing and the Grand Opening of the 16th Street Baptist Church Education and Visitor Center.

We heard amazing worship music from The Carlton Reese Memorial Unity Choir, reflections from Mayor Randall Woodfin, and inspirational words from Bryan Stevenson, Executive Director of The Equal Justice Initiative.

We honored the innocent children whose lives were taken on September 15, 1963 – Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley. Their tragic deaths cast a light on the hatred and injustice of the time and helped galvanize a movement that led to landmark civil rights legislation advancing liberty and justice for all.

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the 16th Street Baptist Church Education and Visitor Center and hope that the space will inspire our community to build a future worthy of the dreams these young girls never had the chance to fulfill.

💚 Grand Opening of the UAB Learning Resource Center 💚

This new space gives UAB School of Health Professions students a place to meet, study, grab a coffee or quick bite, and recharge.

We were proud to be part of this project that will help make School of Health Professions student life a little easier and loved getting to see the space in use.

We’re excited to share that Taylor is staying with us full-time! 🎉

After completing her summer internship, Taylor Conly has officially joined CCR as an Interior Design Associate.

She earned her degree in Interior Architecture & Design from Samford University and has already been such a valuable addition to our team. She’s a nerdy creative with a genuine passion for serving others—a combination that has been a driving force in her pursuit of a career in interior design.

Outside of the studio, you’ll find her spending time with friends, reading at coffee shops, or playing video games.

Designing charter schools has allowed us to work closely with different communities to create adaptable and inspiring learning environments built for the future.

As our work in this sector has continued to grow, we have developed an understanding of the unique missions, cultures, and operational needs of modern-day schools.

Projects like the Magic City Acceptance Academy, Legacy Prep, Freedom Preparatory Academy, and Independence Preparatory Academy, represent our ongoing investment in the future of education throughout the Birmingham community.

Looking ahead, we are excited to work with Alabama Aerospace & Aviation High School to design Alabama's first aviation-focused, tuition-free public charter school and Xstream Minds to create a new educational environment that supports innovation and student success.
