Discovery (or Intro) Calls are an incredible tool for a reciprocal interview. Of the course the potential client is interviewing you to see if your business offers what they need, but you should also be interviewing the potential client!

After literally hundreds of these calls over the years, I’ve noticed lots of patterns. So here’s your guide to green, yellow, and red flags you should be on the lookout for during intro calls.

What an honor it is to experience the (sometimes messy) intersection of motherhood and work — without feeling like they have to be compartmentalized — alongside these incredible mommas. Thankful today for this business which allows me (and these women) to work at something we love, serve business owners as they grow their companies, and be at home with our babies as much as possible.

Life as a founder is ______. Fill in the blank! I want to hear what it’s like for you.

My answer would be — “always changing”. To summarize what it’s been like the last seven years, I think the theme is constant change. As a founder, you have to adapt to new market conditions, stay on top of ever-changing trends, navigate crazy busy and scarily slow seasons, and constantly make decisions with countless unknowns. We’re always trying new things, refining our process, learning new tools and skills…

The vulnerability required to stay in the game regardless of the change you face is TOUGH. But so worth it.

What about for you? How would you summarize your journey from day one of starting your business until now?
