❌ DON'T use lengthy ChatGPT captions on every. single. post. ❌

I’m all about working smarter and using the tools available to us.

👉 However, completely outsourcing your brand voice to AI will come back to bite you.

Social media is SOCIAL for a reason, and it’s the meaningful connections and personal efforts you put in here that will yeild your results. NOT attention grabs, em-dashes, and generic hashtags.

It’s a lovely day to tell a unique brand story! 🥳

I recently returned from a personal trip to Dublin, Ireland. 🇮🇪 ☘️It was an amazing time celebrating Irish culture, trying new foods, and even…learning about brand marketing!

My husband and I toured Guinness. 🍻 If you ever go, it’s a must-visit. As the largest brewery storehouse in the world, it’s five floors of history and they even have a dedicated section to their marketing!

I loved taking step behind the scenes and learning about iconic campaigns like “It’s a lovely day for a Guinness” and “Black and White” (an ICONIC campaign skewering the literal implications of mottos. Most notably the phrase, “A women needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.” Really cool stuff here).

One thing that shines through: Guinness didn’t just build a product… they built a feeling. Their marketing is consistent, repeatable, and memorable. It’s worked for decades because it makes the brand part of everyday life. 🙌

Here’s the applicable takeaway for small business owners: You don’t need to be a global brand to show up like one—you just need the right message and the discipline to stick to it.

I've got some tough love for you today. 😮‍💨 If you're expecting social media to save your business....it won't. If you don't already have a sales funnel in place, social media won't magically invent one for you. ❌ Don't get me wrong, social media marketing IS a powerful and necessary tool in today's digital marketing landscape. However, it is a part of the process NOT the whole system.

Business owners: before investing in social media, make sure you have already addressed your website, selling strategy and branding. That's the first step to social success! When you work with me, I start by taking a look at your overall marketing and digital presence, including your website, and building a strategy for our social media marketing. If I find problems, I'll let you know what to address before working together. 🙌
