Never stop learning. Let your curiosity take you down roads you’ve not explored. About a month ago I was in Cambridge and noticed a difference in little things, like conversations over coffee. Young students were discussing various themes, exploring ideas that needed solutions. Asking questions and listening to other people’s ideas.
Solutions start with a question and answers are refined by more questions. Ideas born inside vacuums are seldom effective. Different perspectives are needed to come up with better answers. So let your curiosity take you to places with different cultures and listen with the intent to learn something new.

During the past few weeks, I have been expanding my knowledge of municipal and regional planning. Driven by curiosity more than career need, I have taken advantage of local resources in attending the presentation on Isolationism in America put on by the folk school here in town and also the Alabama Commission on the Humanities, and have attended The Rappaport Foundation's Beyond Urban Renewal, addressing the issues with regional redevelopment authorities in Massachusetts. Many thanks to Daniel Marshall, the Rappaport Foundation, and the Harvard Graduate School of Design for their sponsorship. Surprisingly, I learned things that have application in my everyday life even while exploring outside of my box. My curiosity began because my daughter attends the GSD, and I wanted to understand more about the field of planning. Harvard has many learning opportunities, and I would be foolish to pass on them.

Grateful to have attended last night’s mayoral reception led by Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University with leaders from 46 cities across 16 countries. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. This year's Christmas Card, I used Adobe Photoshop 2024 Prelease and Beta to create from blank canvas. Elements of the lake house, fall colors and snow create a feeling of Christmas and solitude. On large monitors, a Christmas tree can be seen in the window, along with a wreath on the door. Adobe Firefly was used for elements.

Sorry for the long delay in posting here, but since May I have been under contract and also subject to non-disclosure agreements and these extend at least until the end of 2021. It has been many years since I’ve worked with people who are both creative and tech savvy and I find myself working with people who are at the top of the software pyramid. Every week is a new challenge and I’m humbled by others work and each week I have to push my boundaries to stay relevant which I need. Once this project is finished, I will be able to tell a little about this time. But until then the NDA controls.

Things have been crazy here lately and I apologize for not keeping this up to date, but the last few months have been all about helping companies convert from brick and mortar offices to virtual, using WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms. Now, with more people returning to their workplaces, providing employees with PPE is a priority. If you need masks, or even customized masks contact me. I have contacts with legitimate suppliers who also provide printing for those wanting logos, etc on the masks they provide for clients and/or employees.
