Every one of our customers has a unique story, and our job is to help them capture it through their photography & videography, whether that’s by finding the right gear, listening & offering advice, or connecting them with the educational resources they need. Pro tip: Crop your image to fit the exact print size you are printing. Leave breathing room, and think about the print size before you export! Example: If you plan to print 8x10", crop with a 4:5 aspect ratio.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our very own Rob Griffiths is sharing a story very personal to his heart and our community. 🩷

In July 2023, Rob and his wife were blindsided by her diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Since then, his wife, Gina, has been receiving treatment from the amazing team at Henry Ford Assarian Cancer Center in Novi, Michigan.

Rob has been serving the local photo community at Woodward Camera throughout their fight against cancer, and we are so grateful for his kind and warming spirit at the store. To raise funds and awareness, Rob will completely shave off his beard at Woodward Camera on October 15th (the first time in 10 years!).

We hope you will join us for the livestream on the 15th (time TBA), and help support Rob’s fundraiser. Before and after shave content will also be shared in case you miss it.🧔🏻‍♂️📸 GoFundMe link is in our bio.

This is our night to celebrate the artists who help make Woodward Camera a pillar in the Metro Detroit creative community 📸🤝

Join us Friday, October 23rd from 6-8pm: We will feature photos from 20 local photographers for one night only, printed in-house. Meet fellow creatives, connect with the community, and celebrate your art together.

👉 You could be one of our featured photographers! There is no theme for submissions, we just want to see the work that best represents you. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome. Two submissions per person, and attendance at the event is highly encouraged. Deadline to submit is October 12th.
