🌳 Root Down Community Hub needed a brand and website that could hold a lot of things at once. Chiropractic care, massage therapy, open mic nights, meditations, and community events. All of it under one roof, all of it feeling communal while being intentional and thoughtful.

⚡️They were a growing business that needed a consistent, trustworthy presence to match what they were already building inside. So we laid the foundation with care and built from there with real vision.

🌳 The logomark draws from the Bristlecone Pine, one of the most ancient and iconic trees in the Eastern Sierra. Roots reaching down, feminine and grounded. Not just a pretty tree. A visual anchor that says this place belongs here and so do you.

🎨 The color palette followed that same intention. Earthy and calming, but rich. Grounded, slightly luxe, and built to hold everything from a sound bath to a candle making class without missing a beat.

⚡️A complete brand and website means showing up consistently without the extra effort. Social posts, event flyers; all of it becomes quicker and easier. That is the impact of getting it right.

🙋Are you overwhelmed with always having to build and follow processes? Yeah, me too.

🧱But the more structure I create for myself and my clients, the smoother each project goes. Sounds simple, but simple and easy are not always the same thing.

⚡️Here are a few key parts of the website process I follow with every client:

• Start with a consultation and clear project outline
• Create a mood board and site map to guide the design
• Build a full mockup before development begins
• Review and refine the layout together
• Launch the final site with structure, strategy, and intention

⚡️It’s fun to look back at the month, the growth, the challenges, all of the work, and all of the fun!

⚡️From the mentorship work with and the input from some awesome design peers and .slices I was able to relaunch my new site with so much more intention and strategy.

🍯 Also within that I was able to build my Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) on to really create a seamless client experience. So stoked on all of this!

⚡️In a personal note, I spent intentional time with friends for game night, making vision boards, going for walks, and chatting at coffee shops. More of that this month for the couple of friends I’ve been planning ahead with. and I have been successful at getting out and exploring every weekend with our pup and finding cool old sh*t in the desert.

⚡️I’ve started some new client work that I hope to share more of in March and I’ll also be launching a new brand partnership from working with my other awesome mentor . Look out for info and links to book consultations soon!

🌶️ As small business owners, our lives revolve around our clients. In this month’s live this coming Wednesday March 4th, Jorde and Nicole will cover all of the nitty gritty of working with clients. The ideal, the important, the pitfalls.  🥑 Covering the pitfalls, we will chat about how working with clients might push us back into people pleasing habits, how there just isn’t enough time in the day and how to work through that, and circling back to boundaries.

⚡️ Curating a future that feels like home doesn’t happen by accident, or by throwing sh*t at the wall and hoping something sticks.

⚡️ Remember those pre-teen photos? Your mom had cut your hair just before picture day, your adult teeth hadn’t grown in all the way yet, and there was a stain on your new shirt. That’s what a DIY brand can feel like when your business outgrows it. Your visuals, voice, and structure just need to catch up. You’ve done a great job getting this far, and now it’s okay to let a professional guide you.

Well, that month went by fast!

🫶January had a lot of love in it. A lot of rest. A lot of looking forward through 2026 and embracing the little things in order to avoid the current world horrors.

📸 I had the honor of photographing a beautiful ceremony led by my beautiful friend (if you haven’t worked with her, you should!)

🥾 We tried to do at least one mini adventure every weekend and explore our beautiful home area. I don’t know how I would’ve fueled myself up without it.

💻 I stepped out of my comfort zone and created my first illustrator tutorial. As a self taught designer, sometimes the imposter syndrome is debilitating. It felt good to lean in and share something I enjoy doing with others.

I hope you’re all taking care of yourself and trying to spread love where you can this year. It’s heavy for all of us. 🫶

👋 Next week, on Wednesday February 4th, Jorde and Nicole are so excited to welcome the talented Charley for our next Neurospicy Designer live.

We’ll be talking about the creativity and challenges of content creation as an artist, through a neurospicy lens.

Showing up online has never been easy, and right now, with the weight of the world, it can feel especially hard to keep creating.

Art has always been a form of resistance, connection, and survival. From comics to music to so many other artistic mediums, ART and creativity has always been a way to share perspective, build community, and keep going. Especially in difficult times.
