✨ Sometimes, the best way to move forward is by stepping back. Recently, I took a pause from my business to realign my priorities and create space for what truly matters. 🧘♀️
It reminds me of the story of the professor who filled a large jar with rocks, pebbles, and sand. The rocks were the big things—our most important priorities—and the only way they fit was by putting them in first.
For me, those rocks are myself: self-care, mindset, exercise, and spirituality. They’re followed by my family, my household, work on my business, and finally, client work.
I scheduled times to volunteer in each of my three boys' classrooms, made sure I do not work on days they off, scheduled self-care time on my calendar, started taking hot baths at night, and connected with others to create accountability partners, collaborators and co-workers (highly recommend!).
When I started filling my jar with the biggest priorities first, everything else naturally found its place. 🪨💫
This time has been all about resetting and rebuilding from the ground up—taking a fresh approach and making sure that everything I’m creating is in alignment with my core values and my design. It’s about building a solid foundation that can support all the layers of life and business.
What are the rocks in your jar? Are you giving them the space they deserve?
