I want to make sure everyone is aware that the application period for the 2026 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program is now open.

Non-profits, producer groups, government agencies, universities and other agricultural organizations are encouraged to apply. Eligible projects include those that focus on enhancing the competitiveness of specialty crop industries through research, education or market development.

Grant awards will range from $10,000 to $100,000.

Specialty crops are defined as fruits and vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, nursery crops, horticulture and herbs.

The deadline to submit an application is March 3, 2026.

The We Energies Foundation is once again saying thank you to our dedicated public safety responders with the Rewarding Responders Grant—and your department could be next!

🔥 Grant Details:
• Up to $2,000 per project
• Total of $100,000 awarded annually
• For equipment or training tied to safety initiatives
• Must serve in We Energies' natural gas/electric service area
• Open to county, local, and volunteer fire, law enforcement, and rescue agencies
• Past 2024 recipients are ineligible for this 2025 cycle

🛠️ Eligible Items:
Think thermal imaging cameras, pediatric IV kits, ballistic vests, on-site safety training, and more!

📅 Apply between May 1–June 15, 2025
📣 Winners will be announced by August 31!
