The answer was never more hours.

I used to think it was. Wake up earlier. Work later. Push through. That’s just what running a business looks like, right?

Not for me. Not anymore.

I have 4 incredible humans on my team. And then I have a few dozen more, and here are a few of them that get me through the day.

Preface- The strategy, the relationships, the judgment calls is still all me, every time. But the heavy lifting? I built a team for that too.

What it gave back wasn’t more hours in the day. It was which parts of the day I actually get to be in.

Swipe to meet them, then tell me: what’s the one hour of your day you’d fight to get back? 🩶

We're looking for a photographer in the Twin Cities to join us on-site for content shoots 📸

This isn't a "point-and-shoot" gig, we need someone with real experience capturing food, drinks, and the energy of a restaurant in action. Think short-form reels, on-the-spot content ideas, and knowing how to get the shot even when the kitchen's moving fast.

What we're looking for:
Real experience shooting restaurant/hospitality content
Comfortable coming up with reel ideas on the spot, not just executing a shot list
Based in or near the Twin Cities, able to shoot on-site
Someone who moves well in a working kitchen or dining room without getting in the way

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), reach out to [email protected] with your portfolio or content examples. We'd love to see your work.

Posting only trends isn't a strategy… It's just hoping something sticks.

Viral doesn't always mean valuable. A video can rack up views and still bring in zero new customers, because attention and trust aren't the same thing.
Content without a real purpose or goal won't grow your business, no matter how good it looks in the moment.

So instead of chasing the next trending sound, build something that actually reflects your brand: consistently, on purpose, with a goal behind every post.

Trends can still be part of the mix. They just can't be the whole plan.

Want help building a content strategy that goes beyond chasing trends? That's exactly what we do — [link in bio].

Most restaurant owners think they have a marketing problem. Or a labor problem. Or a food cost problem.

Those are real. But they’re usually symptoms of the actual problem: You’re the bottleneck. Every decision runs through you. Every problem lands on your desk.

The business can’t function without you in the middle of everything, and that’s exhausting in a way that’s hard to even explain to people who aren’t living it.

I put together 7 AI prompts built around this exact problem. Not vague productivity advice. Specific expert-backed frameworks for building systems, developing leaders, and getting yourself out of the middle of everything.

People ask us all the time what our camera settings are for shooting client content, so here's the exact setup, screenshot by screenshot.

1. Format: High Efficiency. Smaller file sizes without sacrificing quality — you want to be able to shoot a lot without eating up your storage mid-shoot.

2. Photo Mode: 24 MP. Enough detail to crop in later without losing quality, but not so heavy that every photo takes forever to edit or send.

3. ProRAW & Resolution Control: On, set to ProRAW Max. This gives you the most editing flexibility after the fact — lighting in restaurants is rarely perfect, so this is what saves a shot in editing.

4. Grid + Level: On. Non-negotiable. Straight lines and centered shots make everything look more intentional, even if you're moving fast on a busy shift.

5. Fusion Camera: 24 & 28 & 35mm. Having multiple focal lengths available means you're not stuck backing into a wall to get the shot you need in a tight kitchen or dining room.

6. Record Video: 4K at 60fps. Gives you smooth slow-motion options later and holds up if you ever need to pull a still frame from video.

7. Prioritize Faster Shooting: On. When you're shooting fast — think a busy dinner rush — this keeps up with you instead of lagging behind.

8. Lens Correction + Macro Control: On. Macro is huge for food content specifically — close-up shots of texture, steam, garnish detail. This is what makes it easy to get those without switching modes manually.

A lot of people assume a post either works right away or it doesn't.

But Instagram runs a quieter process in the background. It holds onto posts that got scrolled past, waits a day or two, and tries showing them again, sometimes with a different slide leading the way.

Which means the version of your post that "flopped" isn't necessarily final. It might just be waiting on its second shot.

Save this so you remember it next time you're tempted to delete a post that didn't take off right away. Share it with the business owner in your life who's convinced their content "just doesn't work.”
