If you saw these at first glance you may think these are both vintage, hand worn, and time fostered relics but one is much older and much more expensive! On the left is an authentic vintage 1953 D-18 while on the Right is a much newer reissue made in 1997. The D-18VM (on the right) is a first generation vintage series instrument made to replicate the looks and tonal specs of a pre-war Martin! It also features a Modified V neck profile that is not quite as pronounced as the original (one on left).You can see more photos and details for each item on our website. Both show play wear and signs of age but it only lends to giving you the feeling and sound of owning a true historical piece that is both functional and a pleasure to play and look at.
