Micron's expansion continues to reshape the Treasure Valley. Thousands of new jobs are landing here over the next couple of years, and a lot of those people are relocating from Seattle, LA, and the Bay Area with real spending power.

That means new households will be looking for a dentist, a gym, a mechanic, a place to eat on a Friday night. They don't have 20 years of word of mouth to go on. They are starting from scratch, and whoever shows up first on their radar wins that relationship.

If you're a local business owner in the Treasure Valley, this is the moment to make sure your name is the one they hear.

Here's something most business owners don't want to hear when times get tight: That's exactly when you shouldn't go quiet.

Every recession study since the 1920's says the same thing, companies that keep advertising through downturns hold market share while competitors disappear. When things turn around, they're the name people remember.

Back to school, fall, then the holiday rush are coming. Three buying seasons back to back. The brands still visible now are the ones who win first when spending picks up. Staying visible isn't the expensive choice, going quiet is.

Let's talk about staying top of mind through Q4!

Most Treasure Valley businesses go quiet in July and August.

That's a mistake.

Mid-summer is one of the least contested windows for local ad space, which means more share of voice for the businesses that stay in. 88% of small businesses that increased their marketing spend saw stable or improved revenue.

Consumer confidence is soft right now. U.S. consumer spending grew just 1.4% year-over-year in Q2 2025. In a cautious market, the brands people already know win. The ones who went quiet don't.

The Treasure Valley is still growing. New households are forming habits about where to eat, who to call, where to spend. They're deciding right now.

If you're not in the conversation, someone else is.

If you'd like to talk about getting your unfair share of the market reach out today, I'd love to help your business get there!

The Treasure Valley just added 150,000 people in five years.
Star grew 14.7% in a single year. Kuna, 14.3%. Caldwell added more new residents last year than anywhere else in the region. Ada and Canyon counties are approaching 877,000 people, with projections pushing past 1.1 million by 2050. That's a lot of new neighbors.

Most of them are still figuring out where they're going to eat, who they're going to call when the furnace goes out, and which local businesses they can count on. Those decisions are being made right now, in real time, as people settle in and build routines.

Radio reaches over 90% of adults every week. For a new resident still learning the area, hearing a familiar voice talk about a local business is one of the most natural ways trust gets built.

The Treasure Valley is growing whether businesses lean into it or not. The ones who show up consistently are the ones who get remembered.

The Treasure Valley added over 40,000 new residents last year. Those people are forming brand loyalties right now. The businesses capturing them aren't picking radio or digital, they're running both. Nielsen found that combining radio with digital advertising increases purchase intent by 26% over digital alone.

Radio builds the awareness. Digital retargets and converts. Together they cover the full customer journey; morning commute to evening scroll. New market. New consumers. First-mover advantage is real, and it doesn't last.

We just launched a brand new website at www.lotusboise.com, and I'd love for you to check it out.

At Lotus Boise, we help local businesses grow through radio advertising across four stations; Jack-FM, The River, 100.3 The X, and Hank-FM β€” plus a full suite of digital solutions including geofencing, streaming, and social advertising.

Whether you're looking to drive more foot traffic, increase leads and phone calls, grow your online presence, or get your brand in front of the right people in the Treasure Valley β€” we have the tools and the audience to make it happen.

I work directly with business owners to build campaigns that actually move the needle β€” not just run ads.

Every year, it's the same story.

The first warm stretch hits...and seasonal businesses are suddenly floored with demand.

Landscaping. HVAC. Patio and outdoor retail. Nurseries. Golf Courses. Event venues.

The one's who win?
They don't start marketing when the phones slow down, they start before the rush.

Right now, customers are forming their short list. They're noticing names they've heard before. Brands they've seen consistently. By the time they're ready to book, they're choosing what feels familiar.

That "top of mind" spot is earned.

Radio builds broad awareness and trust.
Digital reinforces the message and captures demand.

Together, they create momentum in stead of scrambling for attention later.

Warmer temps are on the way.
The question is: will your brand already be there when customers start looking?
