The part nobody wants to hear is that this makes an event feel less productive, not more 😬

Two conversations feels like underperforming. You’ll walk out to your car convinced you should have worked the room harder. Then six months later one of those two women sends you a client, and the woman with forty business cards is still out there collecting 🤝

Play the slow game. It’s so much less exhausting.

Don’t judge a ROOM by its cover 🤣

Personally, I think the most impactful experiences with others are when the room is smaller, and allows for deeper/more intimate conversations.

I’m gearing up to go to a couple of events this fall... and I’m preparing on a soul level for the extraverted side of myself to come out to play LOL. One of my fav hacks for when events are BIG is to either invite/get invited to small dinner groups, coffee dates, etc so you can still go deep with a few people and build lasting connections.

If you’re not surrounded by people who lift you UP when they’re rising too, you need to find some new people 👀

I am constantly inspired by women who are opening doors, saving seats, and bringing their friends/colleagues alongside them when they are growing.

I’m a firm believer that there is enough room for us all to succeed, and that a rising tide lifts ALL boats.

I almost didn’t post this one 😅

I think the version of me who wrote that list in January would be a little embarrassed by what we’ve checked off 😬
 
But here’s what I’d tell her knowing what I know now...
Write the second list first and then put it in your notes app. Make it specific enough that you’d know whether it happened! Focus less on achieving the specific goal, and more on the overall progress made.

Goals pivot when you’re a fast-moving entrepreneur scaling, it’s ok 🙌🏼
 
If you’ve got a list of goals from December/January you haven’t opened since then... it might be time to go take a peek 👀
