In an attempt to make understanding our portrait sessions easier, I’ve selected the terms formal and creative. Portrait sessions can come in all shapes and sizes, so it can be hard to sort them out. I would consider formal versus creative as good overall groups.

Spring is in the air...and so is pollen. I'm looking forward to green grass, green trees, flowers, and warm weather! I would say I can live without the yellow blanket of pollen that seems to come out of nowhere, but even pollen has its purpose. Needless to say, I love spending time outside! And my family loves the beach.

Posing in a picture doesn't have to be complicated. The main goal of posing is to bring out your best. Posing helps ensure your best features are captured. Depending on the type of session, posing can be used to create a certain mood. Once you learn the rules, it gets easier over time.

Three general tips for guys: Keep good posture, give your hands something to do by crossing them or putting them in your pockets, and make sure you have a strong jaw line (don't squish your chin into your neck! I hope that makes sense. I'll have to come up with a visual for this one. lol)

Women can use some of the same tips, with a slightly different ex*****on depending on the look you want to achieve (i.e. strong and powerful, more soft, etc)
