I saw an interesting article about typography this afternoon.
Dalton Maag has designed an entire type font for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. The main letterforms are said to be inspired by iconic landmarks around the city. The Olympic committee has approved the font. You can see a nice, short and very well done animation which demonstrates the font here:
