Welcome to : a dynamic bar, lounge, restaurant AND live music venue that opened its doors this July in Harvard Square. 🪩🪩🪩
Located in a 5,600-square-foot subterranean sexy space, Lou’s offers live music and DJ sets nightly, a dynamic menu by Chef Jason Bond , run by music industry veteran Allison Finney - and it’s all designed by , the interior design firm behind boutique hotels like + , who sought to create a space that feels upscale and vibey without pretension.
Lou’s is named after the late Harvard Square entrepreneur, Louis “Lou” DiGiovanni. His son John DiGiovanni now operates the building at 13 Brattle Street along with many other neighborhood landmarks, including 50 Church St., the Harvard Square Parking Garage, and The Garage, which houses several retail stores and restaurants. The restaurant’s namesake, Lou, was known for his commitment to this unique urban district during his more than 40-year career as a lawyer, professor, and real estate developer. When his son John sought to breathe new life into the storied space, he enlisted his close friends
and , the owners of American Flatbread, to reconcept.
Inspired by the charm of 1920s speakeasies and the vibrant energy of underground venues, the new venue provides the square with a new hangout where guests can come for dinner or drinks and stay for a show.
