I get this question all the time:

“Do I need a blog on my website?”

—having a blog just for the sake of having one can do more harm than good.

Most people assume that a blog equals instant traffic and credibility.

And sure, it can be a great tool for that, if done right. But what nobody talks about is this:

a blog only works if it’s tied to a purpose.

Let me explain…

If you’re a coach or online service provider, your audience isn’t scrolling through your website looking for random articles/blogs.

They’re there to find solutions to their problems, fast.

So instead of asking, “Should I have a blog?”

ask, “How can I use my blog to help my audience solve their problems?”

‣ Answer your audience’s pain points, share your insights, and challenge the myths that are holding them back.

If your blog can:
💙 Educate your clients with insights that lead to action (like showing them the ‘why’ behind your strategy)

💙 Answer your FAQs in-depth to build trust (so you spend less time repeating yourself on calls)

💙 Or act as a knowledge hub that leads them to your services (where your expertise = their solution)… Then, it’s a no-brainer.

But if it’s a bunch of general content with no direct line to your offers? It’s a waste of time.

Your audience isn’t looking for fluff; they want clarity and a direct next step.

So my advice?

Think of your blog like a mini-client session. 💬 Every piece should give them answers to their problems and lead your reader one step closer to taking action—whether that’s booking a call or implementing your advice.

If you can do that, your blog won’t just sit on your website; it’ll become a valuable part of your sales process.
