We pass them everyday and we may not even know it.

Some adorn caps that give a hint of their story.

Although not all are up in age, most are.

Some show physical clues and others psychological ones.

The days of long, thick hair, bright eyes and youthful appearance have been transformed by time and circumstance.

On days like today they proudly adorn their colors, their caps, their uniforms, some may smile from your recognition, while others may be somber or crying because of the memories that arise on days like these.

We are thankful to these men and women everyday, but this day is dedicated to them, those we can see and those we can not.

To every American veteran, thank you and your family for your sacrifice and service!
