As we build toward the nation’s 250th anniversary this July 4, USA TODAY revisits Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the deeper story behind the legend.

While often remembered as a lone hero, Revere was part of a network, with Old North Church & Historic Site playing a pivotal role in signaling the alarm that night. It’s a timely reminder that history—and progress—is shaped by collective action, and invites us to reflect on how those same calls for courage and community still resonate today.

Paul Revere was a businessman, a political leader, a legend and a myth. A look at his April 18, 1775, midnight ride, and the legacy it's become.

We had an incredible time supporting Project Bread's Walk for Hunger! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

From early morning setup, to walkers enjoying special activations around Boston Common, this annual event brought thousands together and raised over $1.2M to date to fight hunger in Massachusetts. And the best part? Fundraising continues all summer long. Visit www.projectbread.org/walk to donate or start a personal fundraiser.

We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for this mission year after year.

What a fun and dramatic day last Friday for our marvelous client, the Cape Ann Museum, when a 1,200-pound bronze cat sculpture named Sphinx was hoisted by crane and installed permanently in the museum's side courtyard in Gloucester.

It's all part of the preparations for CAM's re-opening on June 30 after being closed for renovations for 20 months. The cat was originally 18 inches tall when it was sculpted by Manchester-by-the-Sea artist Katharine Lane Weems, but to pay tribute to Weems as one of Cape Ann's most significant sculptors of the 20th Century, the museum invested more than $100,000 to enlarge the piece and create it on a monumental scale.

Coincidentally, Weems also created "Dolphins," a 12-foot sculpture that sits on the property of another wonderful Teak client, the New England Aquarium.

Diana and Deb recently toured our client 2Life Communities' groundbreaking Opus Newton, an architecturally and aesthetically beautiful new housing community for middle-income seniors.

It was inspiring to see the seniors make these light-filled, sustainably built apartments their new homes. Residents commit to volunteering 10 hours a month by offering courses, lectures, and community-building activities in their areas of expertise; the spirit is joyful, engaging, and uplifting. They are enjoying the next chapter of their lives.

What also makes Opus Newton so innovative is that it is one of only a few senior housing models in the country that focus on middle-income older adults, known as "The Forgotten Middle," since most housing for older adults focuses on high-income or low-income.

At Opus, we saw why this model is in such high demand, and the energy and enthusiasm of its new residents left us feeling inspired too.

In basketball, strategy isn't limited to the court. As recent media coverage of Celtics star Jaylen Brown has shown, players also need to employ good tactics in their media interactions. In this week's Teak Talk blog, learn some winning communication plays you can use to minimize the impact of a crisis.

Just two years ago, the idea of the Celtics trading 2024 Finals MVP Jaylen Brown was unthinkable. Today, it’s a very different story and

Did you know you can spell your name using satellite images of Earth? 🌍

NASA Earth's Landsat program has been capturing our planet from space for over 50 years, creating an incredible archive that shows how connected we all are to the place we call home. These are beautiful images, but they’re also data that helps scientists track climate change, monitor natural disasters, and understand how human activity impacts our environment.

As a B Corp, we’re committed to being better for people and the planet. We work with organizations fighting climate change, protecting natural resources, and building more sustainable communities. Seeing our name spelled out in Earth's landscapes is a reminder that we're all part of something bigger and we all have a role to play in taking care of it.

The planet tells our story. Let's make sure it's a good one.

AI can generate a fundraising email in seconds. But it can't walk 3 miles on Boston Common for a cause it believes in.

This past weekend, our team joined Project Bread's Walk for Hunger, which raised over $1 million through something no algorithm can replicate: peer-to-peer fundraising. People asking people. Walkers texting their aunts. Team captains turning their businesses into platforms for change.

In the age of AI, the human ask still wins. Read why on the blog:

Peer-to-peer fundraising, where individual supporters recruit their own networks to donate on behalf of a cause, is, at its core, a human
