Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the number 24.

Not because of Bruno Mars or numerology (although both somehow made their way into this piece), but because, at my age, I realized I may have only 24 really good summers left.

And honestly? That realization hit me harder than I expected.

This writing started as a reflection on time, aging, purpose, fulfillment, and the strange emotional shift that happens after you’ve already done many of the things society tells you should do to create a meaningful life.

But somewhere along the way, it became less about aging and more about participation. About not waiting to live your life.

Not waiting for someone to choose you.
Not waiting for perfect timing.
Not waiting until you feel fearless.
Not waiting for life to stop being messy.

About refusing to leave life before life leaves you.

Our summers are numbered.
Don’t waste a single one.

There’s a difference between living your best life… and needing to prove it.

That’s something I was reminded of today… just not in the way it was meant to.
It got me thinking about the difference between how people present their lives and how they actually live them.

Some people build their lives around visibility and recognition. Others build around alignment and longevity.

Both are trying to get to the same place, just in very different ways.

But only one gives you something you can actually rely on when life doesn’t go according to plan.

It was spinning around in the ole noggin, so I had to write about it. If you read it, I’d love to know what you think.

Leads don’t drive growth. Pipeline does.

Working with business leaders uncovers a lot of interesting challenges and insights. One theme that has come up repeatedly is marketing’s role in pipeline and conversion.

Historically, marketing has been measured by lead acquisition. It’s clean, easy to report, and familiar. But it doesn’t reflect revenue potential or how buyers actually make decisions today.

AI has changed that landscape. Buying decisions are being shaped long before traditional lead generation activities, influenced by brand, reputation, and early engagement, and then reinforced as opportunities move toward revenue.

If marketing is only measured by lead generation, it is missing where real impact happens. Leads measure activity. Pipeline measures impact. Those are not the same thing.

For more than 20 years, digital visibility meant one thing: ranking.

If your company appeared near the top of search results, you captured the first meaningful interaction with a buyer.

But the way people search is changing.

Platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI, Copilot, and Perplexity are increasingly generating direct answers instead of showing a list of links.

That means visibility is shifting from ranking in search results to being referenced in the answer itself.

For B2B companies, that shift matters. Those early references can shape which vendors buyers investigate long before they ever visit a company website.

Four years ago, I started Titan Marketing as a fractional CMO practice.

I had a plan, sort of. It was focused and practical. Make a living doing work I loved and believed in while helping organizations make marketing decisions that actually move the needle.

What I didn’t expect was how much it would evolve. Clients didn’t just need strategy. They also needed strong ex*****on. They needed someone who could build the plan, move it forward, and see the ROI. So Titan grew with them.

Over the years, the market shifted. Budgets tightened. AI reshaped how marketing and business get done. We adapted and stayed focused on results.

15 Second Film is a great reminder that strong ideas can travel faster than overproduced content.

Launched in July 2025, the brand has been quickly growing in popularity and followers. The concept is astonishingly simple. Hand creative control to a stranger. Give them 15 seconds. Let the story happen. The result is short film content that feels real and pulls people in almost immediately.

From a marketing perspective, I love this. It works because the format is easy to grasp and consistently executed. The audience does not just consume it. They engage with it.

There is a real takeaway here for brands and creators. Creativity does not have to be overly complicated and expensive to be effective. When an idea is clear and human, people respond.

I recently had a family emergency. One I was not expecting, but with aging parents, it is only a matter of time. I found myself forced to really sit with what connection looks like when things fall apart.

This piece came from a place of fear, love, exhaustion, and a hospital hallway that felt very loud and very lonely.

Today marks the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, when the Earth reaches its farthest tilt from the sun.

For centuries, cultures marked this moment as a turning point, often through rituals centered on light, rest, and reflection. Fires and candles symbolized the sun’s return, while quieter observances acknowledged the value of pause before forward motion.
