A lot of evergreen content is still being measured like it’s 2018.

How many clicks did it get?
How much traffic did it drive?
Did rankings improve?

Those signals still matter—but they don’t tell the full story anymore.

Today, a prospect might encounter your ideas through:
An AI-generated summary
A LinkedIn post
A podcast mention
A shared screenshot or excerpt
A referral pointing them to something you wrote

They may form an opinion about your company before ever visiting your website. That changes what content needs to do.

The strongest evergreen content today is designed to create recognition, reinforce positioning, and improve the quality of conversations before they happen.

AI made it very easy to sound smart.

Polished frameworks, clean writing, strong summaries—those are no longer difficult to produce.

Which means the real differentiator is shifting.

We’re seeing more B2B teams realize that credibility doesn’t come from sounding informed anymore. It comes from showing real perspective, real experience, and real judgment.

The content that actually stands out right now usually includes things like:
→ What changed after something failed
→ The tradeoffs behind a decision
→ Why a team chose one direction over another
→ What experience taught them that theory didn’t

That’s the kind of thinking AI can’t replicate well. And it’s becoming more important as buyers spend more time researching independently, comparing perspectives, and trying to figure out who actually understands the problem they solve.

In a market full of polished content, specificity carries more weight. So does proof.

Did anyone else have blogs they used to follow religiously years ago?

Not because the design was incredible or the SEO was perfect—but because it felt like you were hearing from a real person with real experience.

That’s part of what made blogs so powerful in the early days of content marketing. They gave people a way to connect with perspective, personality, and expertise outside of polished corporate messaging.

It feels like podcasts are starting to fill that role now. As feeds get noisier and AI-generated content becomes more common, audiences are gravitating toward formats that feel more human and more intentional.

People want to hear how someone thinks.
How they explain things.
What experience sounds like in real time.

That’s why podcasts continue to hold attention in a different way.

In B2B especially, trust is rarely built through a single post or quick interaction. It’s built through repeated exposure to real perspective over time.

And right now, podcasts are one of the strongest formats for that.

Do you have a go-to pod you listen to?

A lot of B2B teams are noticing the same thing: Content that used to perform steadily just...doesn’t hit the same way anymore.

Pages still rank.
Traffic still exists.
But engagement feels flatter, and it’s getting harder to connect content directly to pipeline.

The issue isn’t that evergreen content stopped mattering, but the role of evergreen content changed.

For years, the model was simple:
Publish useful content → Earn the click → Create opportunity.

Now, AI summaries and answer engines often resolve the question before someone ever visits your site. Which means visibility alone is no longer the win.

The stronger content strategies today are built around a different question:
If someone encounters your ideas through a summary, snippet, referral, or AI-generated answer, does it still move them closer to trusting you?

That’s where specificity, perspective, and clarity start to matter more than volume.

The goal is no longer just traffic, it’s also creating content that improves the quality of conversations before they ever begin.

Content doesn’t really move in a straight line anymore.

A blog post might show up in search, get surfaced in an AI answer, get shared in Slack, referenced on LinkedIn, discussed in a niche community, and resurface weeks later in a completely different context.

It used to spread channel by channel. Now, it fans out across ecosystems.

That changed the job of content marketing.

The goal isn’t just publishing consistently, but creating content that is clear, structured, specific, and useful enough to travel well wherever it appears.

The companies building momentum right now are thinking about discoverability, retrievability, and how their ideas move across platforms they don’t fully control anymore.

Recently, we were reviewing a search result with a client when someone paused and asked:

“Wait—since when are there ads inside the AI answer?”

It was a simple question, but it caught everyone off guard.

For a while, AI-generated answers felt like a cleaner version of search: a synthesized response, a few cited sources, and a faster way to find information.

That’s changing. AI answers are becoming full environments—where generated responses, citations, and paid placements all compete for attention in the same space.

Which creates a new challenge for B2B teams: Visibility is no longer just about ranking well or running ads well independently.

Now, those layers influence each other. We’re seeing more companies ask:
→ Why are impressions increasing while clicks flatten?
→ Where are prospects actually discovering us?
→ How do we stay visible when platforms increasingly shape the experience themselves?

The companies navigating this best are staying extremely clear in their positioning, building content with strong perspective, and paying close attention to where trust is actually being formed.

A long weekend is coming up—and most marketers will either take it… or think about work the entire time.

If your marketing requires constant attention to keep things moving, it’s hard to actually step away.

A few things worth doing before you log off:

→ Schedule content ahead of time so nothing goes dark
→ Confirm campaigns, links, and automations are running as expected
→ Align with your team on what’s “on hold” vs. what still needs coverage
→ Make sure expectations are clear—internally and with clients

The goal isn’t just to get through the long weekend.

It’s to build a system that can hold things steady while you’re away.

Because time off should feel like time off—not just a different location for checking Slack.

There’s a growing issue in B2B marketing right now: A lot of content looks right—but feels interchangeable.

AI has made it easier than ever to produce polished, well-structured content. But when everything sounds good, it becomes harder to tell what’s actually grounded in real experience.

That’s where true thought leadership starts to blur.

The strongest brands we work with don’t just share ideas—they share how those ideas were formed. The decisions, tradeoffs, and real-world context behind them.

That’s what creates credibility.
That’s what builds trust.

Our role at Top Fox is to help bring that forward.

We work with clients to take what they already know—what they’ve tested, learned, and refined—and translate it into positioning, messaging, and content that actually reflects their expertise.

Not just something that sounds right.
Something that holds up under scrutiny.

That’s how their experience starts to stand out.
