Does AI remove the need for mentorship? This survey does not support that shortcut.

46% perceived greater mentorship needs, 32% less and 22% no impact (Q34, 114 respondents). The 14 percentage-point gap is arithmetic; 46% is not a majority. These are self-selected survey responses, not a representative US finding.

For your first contribution, focus on evidence a reviewer can use: the problem, project policy, explanation, actual tests, limits and disclosure.

2.2 seconds to 1.3 seconds sounds dramatic—and it is 40.9% less time. The absolute saving is 0.9 seconds in one pnpm maintainer benchmark: 1,352 packages, warm store, 12-core Mac. Measure your own workload, and check dependency visibility separately. Faster installs do not prove security-alert coverage.

Six tool thresholds does not mean six tools everyone must install. Check what each Python project actually uses, then record its interpreter, pip and certificate evidence. The chart shows the minimum versions named in Python’s October 20 incident notice—not a list of the latest releases. Existing environments and container images need their own checks.
