Another popup flavor from Nothing Bundt Cakes
🍑PEACH COBBLER🍑

Two things you may have realized about me after my reviews are: 1) I’m a chocolate girly (aka I wouldn’t usually pick this flavor) and 2) I’m easy to please especially with sweets.

But this was genuinely so good! The texture and spices of the cake combined with the icing and cinnamon crumble made for a really unique cake flavor. In the best way!

This seasonal flavor will only be around for the rest of this week (and weekend) so go grab it while you can!!

Salento Italia is a new restaurant in Bowling Green, KY!
We tried the focaccia, Caesar salad, chicken Parmesan, and lasagna (plus a mocktail and cocktail) - everything was great!

It definitely felt upscale and like a treat! We’re planning to go back soon to try the pizza :)

The final stop on the Duncan Hines Tour was The Good Rind, another new spot in Bowling Green!

It is a shop for specialty sourced cheeses, specialty foods, and custom charcuterie boards, but it’s also a great place to stop for lunch. Their menu is small and curated, focusing on a handful of gourmet sandwiches, salads, and sides made with high quality ingredients.

I tried the Pesto Penelope, which has turkey, mozzarella, basil pesto, artichoke giardiniera, and red onion on freshly baked focaccia bread. The bread was fantastic - perfectly soft and fresh. The carefully crafted sandwich had great taste and texture. Will definitely get again 👍🏻

On the side, I tried a cucumber salad, which was crisp, tangy, and refreshing.

If you’re looking for a unique lunch spot in Bowling Green Kentucky - or need some gourmet additions to your charcuterie board - is your place!

As part of our Duncan Hines Days food tour, I tried out Javier’s Cuisine - one of Bowling Green’s newer restaurants.

While the food was great, the people running it really stood out to me! It’s truly a family-run restaurant. Throughout our visit, members of the family stopped by to chat and tell us about what brought them to Bowling Green. It was very welcoming and personal.

We learned that the family relocated from Wisconsin, where they had built a loyal following over the years. They’ve actually had many customers travel to BG from Wisconsin just to visit their restaurant!

Of course we started with fresh chips and salsa- served warm and freshly made. We also enjoyed queso - which was thick and had just the right amount of kick!

For our meals, I got shrimp fajitas and my friend got shrimp enchiladas. Both dishes were packed with flavor and we had no complaints! The portions were generous as well.

My friend enjoyed a beer and I tried the mocktail version of the hoochie sunrise - sweet and refreshing !

If you’re looking for Mexican (psst they also have some other options) food in Bowling Green, Javier’s Cuisine is worth a visit for generous portions, family friendly atmosphere, and endearing hospitality ❤️

As part of our Duncan Hines food tour, we stopped by Danny’s Italian for lunch! Their lunch menu has a smaller menu than dinner, but honestly it was still a generous portion and great options.

I started with the kale walnut salad which was fresh and crunchy and had just the right amount of dressing.

For our entrees, we tried the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Pomodoro Pizza. The pasta was rich and creamy with perfectly cooked chicken breast, while the wood-fired pizza had a delicious handmade crust. Both dishes had that classic Italian simplicity.

But my favorite might have been dessert. We ended with an affogato- vanilla ice cream topped with espresso - and it was incredible! Smooth, sweet, refreshing, and the perfect ending to our meal.

If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Bowling Green, is a great option whether you’re planning date night or a lunch outing!
