Let’s talk about growing pains as a business owner growing through personal challenging times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As - When you sign up for entrepreneurship, you also sign up for personal development. Ugh! Anyone agrees? Personal development has been off the charts this year!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been hearing a lot from people starting their messages to me - you are killing it! Yes, my business accelerated this year. I am truly in awe of all the successes I’ve had this year. Everything that seemed impossible actually fulfilled itself. You can't grow without making mistakes, though!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The challenges and failures seem to dim that light of successes, doesn’t it?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the past few months, I’ve made A LOT of hard decisions. Some of them included - outsourcing and taking things back from them, accepting my lack of expertise in something, letting go of clients that don’t align with me, saying No so many times. Plus, this whole year was just a big doozy (or should we call it an over-explosion of all the personal challenges?). All of that affected my self-worth exponentially.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I slowed down, with all of that came also a lot of clarity and a lot of lessons:
- My big why - helping business owners growing with ease and expand their revenue by taking their big visions and reverse engineer them into small steps. For me right now, that looks like providing social media marketing services, but the avenues are endless.
- I cannot help every single business, nor do I want to.
- I am in the middle of refining my services and making what works right now even better instead of creating new offers. Intention over scalability is where I am at right now.
- Saying yes to every single client is a form of people-pleasing which is a form of manipulation (tough pillow to swallow). It doesn’t serve anyone.
- Mental health is more important than grind and hustle.

That feeling when the strategy you provided for new clients is proving itself in the first week 🤟 scroll for the proof ➡️

The only difference - one client has a community management package and the one doesn’t 😳 can you spot which one?

Here is to the good staff - what I did before creating a 3-month strategy that will tailor clients goals:
✔️have a strategy call with a client and getting to know their vision, social media marketing, business and sales goals
✔️social media audit to see what is already performing and what is not, what changes need to be implemented
✔️industry market research - what competitors are doing and what they are missing - all the analytical work
✔️creating content pillars according to their offerings and goals
✔️visuals - graphics (for this one, I outsourced for the second time actually and it’s the best investment in my business right now, highly recommend), mood board for photographers, sourcing user generated content
✔️crafting the strategy that will allow create a strong brand awareness and grow the metrics needed in accordance to their business goals.

And then we implement! Here is the caviar - social media strategy and social media management are really two different things. You always should start with social media strategy. Why do I offer both? I’ve worked with enough clients to see what works and what doesn’t, and also strategy ebbs and flows. A lot of marketing is testing and sometimes, you have to try something new to see if it works. A social media manager generally just implements the strategy provided for them without adjusting as they go.

Last, but not the least, by offering both, I feel more in control of the results and consistency 🤟

Have you ever crafted a social media strategy for your brand? How did it go? I highly recommend it because it saves you time and money ahead of time instead of throwing darts and seeing what would stick 😉

Trying something new over here🤩I've been putting lots of work behind my client's accounts and it's time to show some numbers!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This client decided to focus on organic strategy only. Results are in, ladies and gentlemen. Vanity metrics are cute and all, but it's the revenue that drives the business forward and this is what my main focus is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, do you know the difference between social media strategist and social media manager? (I am both).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
P.S. very much enjoying my staycation and thankful for scheduling tools.

This post has been going long in the works because 2200 characters cannot express how much gratitude I have for this woman -

wouldn’t exist without her probably 😂 my mindset changed a lot since Diana became my business coach 😬 eeeek, even saying that out loud makes my palms sweaty 😂 I got a business coach, you all and she is the real deal!

I’ve met Diana online through and it so happens that I got furloughed when she started offering her coaching 🤓

let’s talk about perfect timing!

since then, I’ve believed in myself like never before, crafted my offerings, got 8! 😳 clients and quit my full-time job - whoa! going from 0 to 100 over here 🏎

and now I am in Camp Clarity 🤘🏻I’m so grateful for that crew she gathered in there and for her constantly blowing my mind and getting used to being uncomfortable and growing!

In the beginning of this year, I made a 5-year plan. That plan included to have a business coach in my third or fifth year of business. Let me tell you - I wouldn’t be where I am if I wouldn’t have her constant support and mentoring. What I’m saying is - if you are on the fence 👉 investing in your business and yourself will always be worth it!

I’ve crafted a giant letter to her with much more gratitude than this post can possibly share but I’ve wanted to say

THANK YOU FROM ALL OF MY HEART!

continues with the one and only

This woman is that rare business person who is cool, genuine, bold and soooooooo funny 😁 if you can’t tell. She also turns out a super badass business coach who meets you at any level that you are, aka your co-pilot 👩‍✈️

Fist time I’ve met Karen last year at Women’s Circle of Excellence where she showed us how to make a business plan map. Just imagine a bunch of sticky notes, colorful pens and pencils 😂 a heaven for a stationery j***y.
I’ve just started my business and briefly told her what I do. She said - oh, I might have some clients for you, let’s get coffee 🤯 whaaat?! Karen was the first person who I didn’t really know and had some kind of interest in my business. You bet, I’ve put that follow-up on my google calendar 😂 multiple times.

Earlier this year I took a planning workshop from her and and still get back to my notes every quarter. The plan I originally made changed a lot 🤓but skills I got from it didn’t!

Besides everything that I’ve learnt from this amazing woman, she also tells me words of encouragement and how much I’ve grown this year. And she ain’t BSing around 😂 so it means so freaking much!

As pandemic hit, Karen decided to do Monday huddles and let me tell you, if you haven’t been to one, YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO! It will change your day, your week or month.

Thank you for being such an inspiration, Karen ❤️ I’m so freaking grateful to know you online and offline. Thank you for celebrating my big leap with me 🥂

📸 credit goes to talented Lucy! I couldn’t decide on the photos, so you get both 😂

WELCOME TO THE FIRST DAY OF ME AS A FULL-TIME ENTREPRENEUR 😳🤯

That’s the announcement you all have been waiting for 😜

And if you are wanting the perfect depictions of how I feel 😂 just scroll these photos back and forth. It goes from - “Omg, I quit my full-time job 🥳” to “Holy s**t, I quit my full-time job 😳.”

For the past 4 years, I’ve dreamt about working myself and help other small businesses grow online. It feels surreal but it’s finally happening and I’m all about it.

On my first day as a business owner, I sent out about 30 emails, made a few mistakes and didn’t get out of my office 🤪 because when you postpone everything to your first day of being self-employed, that’s what you get!

Any advice on how to rock-n-roll this new season of life is welcome 👇👇👇

So many new faces around here from last week! I wanted to introduce myself and share a little about me and tell you what I do here.

My name is Arina, I am a social media strategist for community and purpose driven brick and mortar businesses. I am also a manager at a big corporate retail store. And, I am also an intern to . Wearing many hats is my jam 😂

I am a nerd at heart (Enneagram 5 - investigator, anyone?) so here you will see a lot of Instagram and social media analytics, statistics, facts, research and helpful tips on how to grow your online presence on social media. Any questions are always welcome 🙋🏼‍♀️ I love to learn what my audience needs.

I will preach the importance of Engagement until I can no longer talk (or need to take a nap). Comments, shares, saves and genuine DMs are what you will get when I follow you 😂 apologies if you didn't sign up for this.

You will also see a lot of this gentle creature - Bue. She is a parti yorkie and also my coworker. If you are wondering whether I doubted posting such a personal photo on my business account, I did. How else are we going to build trust?😉

I am also a stationary ju**ie. Planners, stickers and cool colored pens is what you might see behind the scenes. Oh, and I ordered a new book of stickers from yesterday ✌🏻

P.S. I have a Russian accent.

Now I want to know about you! Do we share anything in common? Any questions for me? Lay it all out!

I have taken more than a week from posting about social media marketing on this account. There are many reasons why:

➢ I learn through educational materials, reading, listening and I don’t feel right talking about subjects that I know nothing about. As an immigrant, I get a few ignorant remarks about my accent and my country of origin, and I don’t want to be one of those people.
➢ I get extremely passionate about injustice and inequality (read - angry), and I need to cool down in order to come up with action. And action is needed! But, I believe in level-headed action.
➢ I have had A LOT of uncomfortable conversations and creating action offline on a personal level. It is not easy.
➢ I don’t want to be posting for ‘performance.’

Here is what happens next:

➢ I am continuing to learn about racism and this issue in the country I chose to be a citizen in. I will continue to take actions online and offline.
➢ As a social media manager, I feel responsible about what I share, how diverse the source is, and how I communicate for other businesses. I will do this work myself and share with you as I learn along myself. Feel free to call me out, though, if I fail to do so.
➢ I commit to work with clients who share the same values and will work on diversity and inclusion statements on my website.

It’s going to take work and commitment to share our values and show up when the important issues are raised.

There is a long road ahead of us, and I am here for it as a leader, as a business owner and as a citizen of this country.

In solidarity and observance of the I am suspending any posting on this account June 1 - June 7.
People who are hurting deserve to be heard right now. I will be sharing some educational materials on race issues in the Stories as I will be spending time learning about this issue.
