Chris Dunmire, owner of Dunmire's on the Lakes on Highway 371, needs some of our community's legendary generosity right now.
Just before Christmas, a sprinkler system failed and spilled out thousands of gallons of water, severely damaging the iconic restaurant on North Long Lake. Chris told us today that insurance payment delays are putting his entire business (and home) in jeopardy. Like every small business owner we know, he's mostly worried about making sure his employees are taken care of.
"I don't like charity, man. I worked for everything I have, but my back is up against the wall. I guess I'd take whatever I can get right now. Whatever you can do, I'd appreciate."
