WAXI FM 104.9 Rockville, IN
WAKO FM 103.1 Lawrenceville, IL
WAKO AM 910 & 99.3 Lawrwnceville, IL from DLC Media, Inc. to 3 Towers Broadcasting. Best of luck to the new licensee and thanks to my many clients, listeners and friends along the way. I speculate FCC approval soon for WAMB, WFNB, WVIG in Brazil-Terre Haute to JKO Media. We are planning a June 1st transition. 🎤📻

This seems surreal to write. I am having a retirement sale. DLC Media will continue to program and offer advertising on the following 📻 now thru May 31st.
-92.7 The Rock WFNB in Brazil
-105.5 The Legend WVIG in Terre Haute
-99.5 The Breeze WAMB in Terre Haute
-106.9 & 1130 The Breeze WAMB in Brazil
(Deadlines at least a week in advance to air).
Our staff is down to the bare minimum. However, we can accept business.

As a broadcaster, I find the Federal Communications Commission EEO rules for broadcasters a complete waste of time and resources. We are required to constantly promote job openings even when we do not have any. Host job fairs, promote to qualified groups how to receive job opening notices, which in my 44 years nobody ever asked to be on our list.

When I complained to a FCC commissioner at the 2023 NAB Show this was no longer necessary as broadcasters will hire anyone male or female no matter their ethnic background, we simply need qualified applicants and this exercise is an waste broadcasters valuable time and resources, she replied “the FCC would need data to decide if any changes are needed”.

This, coming from the same agency that can’t explain to broadcasters what the purpose of their required EEO policy is!

My FCC Attorney and my compliance director, Shelley will waste hours documenting all the announcements, times they ran, etc.

This is why small business people are always angry at our government. They overregulate and they rarely get rid of outdated rules.

I’m damn glad this is my last EEO report ever!

I am fine with this decision. Goliath does not need every radio station in every market.

The owners had argued for looser ownership restrictions given the growth of social media, podcasts and other online services.
