Keep the conversation natural. Ask a question about the product or service, and before you leave, simply say:

Storage mystery shops are available in New York, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado and Washington, and the total pay is now $35 per shop, including a newly added $10 bonus.

Each visit takes approximately 15–30 minutes. You’ll visit the facility as a potential customer, ask about renting a storage unit, observe the experience and discreetly audio-record the interaction.

California shoppers, dinner could be your next mystery shop. 🍝

We currently have restaurant mystery shopping opportunities available in Morgan Hill and San Jose.

Morgan Hill:
🍕 Phone order + pick-up: up to $50 reimbursement
🍽️ Dine-in: up to $100 reimbursement

San Jose:
🍽️ Dine-in: up to $100 reimbursement

For pick-up shops, you’ll evaluate the ordering and pick-up experience, food quality and packaging. These visits can take just 10–15 minutes.

For dine-in shops, bring at least one guest and evaluate the full dining experience while following the assigned ordering requirements.

These are reimbursement-only shops, so be sure to review all requirements before your visit.

What should you do if you arrive for a mystery shop and the location is closed?

Take a clear, time-stamped photo showing the closure and posted operating hours. If you’re unable to document it, contact your scheduler and let them know what happened.

What do editors actually want from a mystery shopping report?

Not perfection.

They want to understand exactly what happened during your visit without having to guess.

Be clear about what you observed. Double-check the important details. And if something didn’t go as planned, explain it.

Clarity and accuracy will take you much further than trying to write the “perfect” report.

Three things can make a big difference:

Submit your report as soon as you can while the experience is still fresh.

Double-check that your receipts are clear and complete before submitting.

And keep your notes detailed enough that you can confidently answer questions later.
