Our September Edition has hit the mailboxes, so it's time to share this month's featured family! We welcomed a sweet Brentwood Grove Senior Living family this month, as they're part of our lovely community!

Thank you to Alanda at Brentwood Grove and to the family who shared information and photos to tell their story!

**Please meet Doug & Susan Kruse! 💙**

Some people leave a mark through the quiet way they make everyone feel welcomed and loved—and that is the story of Doug and Susan Kruse.

Married 34 years and counting, Doug and Susan have raised a lively blended family of four daughters, spent decades in careers centered on serving others, and earned their favorite title of all: "Grammy and Grampy" to seven adoring grandchildren.

In 2025, they moved to Brentwood Grove Senior Living to be closer to family. Today, you can find them cheering at local games, enjoying card nights, grabbing Doug’s favorite Starbucks mocha, or showing off Doug's legendary left-handed swing (which recently went viral with nearly 800,000 views on Instagram! ⚾️).

Here are a few quick tips from Rob to help you tackle the issue effectively:🔍 Play Detective: Take a moment to see where pests are showing up and when they’re active. Snap a quick photo or video—it helps tremendously when identifying the source!

🚫 Hold Off on the DIY Spray: Store-bought sprays often just kill what you see while driving colonies (like ants or roaches) deeper into walls or causing them to split.

Yay, we finally get to share this special family with you! All of our feature families are months in the making, so I would like to give special thanks to this family, as well as all the families that share their story with their community and special friends. We hope that you are all having fun!

From a chance 2 a.m. meeting in Manhattan to building a vibrant life in Brentwood’s Shadow Lakes neighborhood, Beant and Sumita Singh’s story is rooted in perseverance, entrepreneurship, family values, and community.

Together with their children Zavian and Zyana, Aunt Jessica Wahi, as well as grandparents Tarsem and Daisy Wahi, the Singhs embody what makes our community so special.
