Remember when everyone carried a BlackBerry, used MapQuest directions, or rented DVDs from Blockbuster?
Fifteen years ago, those things were everywhere. Today, they're reminders of how quickly the world changes.
The same principle applies to your website.
Many business owners invest in a website and then leave it untouched for years. But technology, customer expectations, search engines, and design standards evolve constantly.
A website from 2010 may still function, but so would a flip phone. The question is: does it deliver the experience people expect today?
Visitors judge your business in seconds. An outdated website can make even a great company look behind the times, while a modern, fast, mobile friendly website builds trust and generates more leads.
If your website hasn't been updated in several years, ask yourself:
• Is it mobile-friendly?
• Does it load quickly?
• Is the content current?
• Does it reflect your business as it exists today?
• Is it helping you win new customers?
Your website shouldn't be a digital time capsule.
Just because something worked 15 years ago doesn't mean it's working now.
When was the last time you updated yours?
