One thing that never gets old in the sign business is the variety of custom projects that we get to work on for our clients. Most of the time, there is no template, no established procedure or standard for producing a one-of-a-kind piece. We put in the work, produce dozens of drawings and revisions before moving to the production stage.

The Buchanan District Library just completed a large-scale renovation project on the second floor of the library and was in need of a display to recognize all of the generous donors who made the project possible. We’ve never made a bookshelf before, or 120 wooden books with engraved donor inserts… but we made it happen and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Thank you to the Buchanan District Library for the opportunity to design and build this, it was a fun project and helped us to learn how to use our new laser engraver!

Late post but we finally got some pics of this custom dimensional sign build that we created for Gordon Beach Inn and Tapa Taco in Union Pier, Michigan. The panels feature a simulated blasted wood grain with painted acrylic letters and logos. A custom wood-cladded frame and gooseneck lighting help make this sign shine day or night. We made a real “splash” this morning at the Bridgman High School Aquatic Center with this custom designed ACM wall pan sign. A wall pan adds depth to an otherwise flat sheet of aluminum composite material (ACM) and allows us to install without putting screws through the sign face.
