One of the ways I try to make my work make a difference for others.🥰
We’re spending some time highlighting reflections from our STBA Board—sharing what this work, this community, and this Alliance have given each of us. Without further ado, here are some words from our Marketing Chair, Andi Keller :
“I began my journey with the Sault Tribe Business Alliance as a member.
As a Native business owner living in Oregon, the connection back to my Tribe was something I didn’t even realize how deeply I needed. Through STBA, I found community, inspiration, and a way to think about business that aligns with cultural values—not just growth for growth’s sake, but growth that honors who we are.
Becoming part of this work shifted my mindset. I learned more about business than I ever expected—financing, funding, grants, certifications, and pathways that showed me possibilities I didn’t even know existed. Over time, my role grew, my business grew, and so did I.
One of the most meaningful parts has been the connections—meeting other Native entrepreneurs and having the opportunity to help elevate their businesses. Every time we’re able to support another tribal business, it genuinely warms my heart in a way that’s hard to put into words.
On a practical level, those connections have also turned into real relationships and real clients. My media business transformed through this work—and honestly, so have I. It inspires me to keep going, keep connecting people, and continue to support my tribe and tribal members in any way that I can.”
