My hot take: Most hot takes aren't that hot, and many may still be raw on the inside.

Alistair Begg. He Gets Us. There are genuine concerns, you wouldn't have done it that way, said that, spent that, etc. But the fruit of the Spirit are neither formed nor applied in the flash of a pan. Nuance and grace each take time to roast and sear (respectively, obviously) and eternal things need to be given due time on the fire.

Better to ignore the algorithm than pull that hot take out of the oven too early and give the body of Christ a case of Salmonella.

I love how Lewis is portraying the Pevensies’ tension between their two citizenships: earth and Narnia. It’s a great parallel with Christians and God’s two kingdoms. They struggle to reintegrate as children in our world after being kings and queens of Narnia. (Particularly Lucy, as she’d spent nearly 2/3 of her life away from our world.) We as Christian’s struggle the same way as sojourners hoping for a far kingdom.
