Food for Thought wins Best Experimental Film at the 26th Annual Coney Island Film Festival.

In what was once nicknamed “Sodom by the Sea,” our sea-tossed short film “Food for Thought” took Best Experimental Film at the 26th Annual .

Coney Island and Asbury Park share more than competing Tillie’s. Two seaside resorts once left in disrepair, remade in the image of gray box buildings and unimaginative architects who envision progress as nothing more than a bag of loot. Hyper-gentrification heating the markets while the little guy scraps for the sanctity of food and shelter.
The film flickers in that space. A half-starved sailor adrift on the Asbury Park boardwalk, wandering between hallucination and history, searching for scraps of memory and meaning.

Winner, Best Experimental Film at the 2026 Coney Island Film Festival. Winner, Best Silent Film at the 2026 Absurd Film Festival in Milan, Italy, and a Finalist at the 2025 AP’N3 Film Challenge. The film enjoyed its East Coast Premiere at the 24th Annual Garden State Film Festival. Food for Thought is what happens when hyper-gentrification is allowed to plow forward in the name of progress.

“For The Dogs” // A portrait of pets, parents, and the politics of city parks.

Coming this Spring, 2026, “For The Dogs” is a quirky slice-of-life from director Collin Kornfeind’s home neighborhood - Astoria, Queens - where there’s a long-simmering cold war of sorts between dog owners and parents of children. The basis of this “war” is park space because, for every 4,000 dogs in New York City, there’s only one dog park on average and dogs are not allowed into most city park spaces assigned strictly for human use. Desperate to please their fur babies’ need to exercise and socialize, dog owners have resorted to illegally invading child playgrounds and basketball courts, despite the risk of fines and neighborhood vitriol, while forming a community of aggrieved but well-meaning dog parents. While this issue exists throughout the city, “For The Dogs” centers on one such park-turned-battleground: Sean’s Place.
