There are some new friends and I wanted to share a bit about us. :)
I’m Michelle and I’m a brand & web designer 🙋🏻‍♀️
I run this here branding agency Baremade Studio, where we help human-centered brands (mostly in the online world) level up their brand identity and web presence.
I’ve been quiet around here, as you’ve probably noticed, and been focusing on 3 things: Current clients, revamping our client experience, and personally, remodeling and DIYing our new home a bit.
This year has been full of change for me, my business and my family. And this summer has been a damn roller coaster. Some were not-so-great changes and some I’m still trying to get used too.
But now that we find ourselves in September (where’d the summer go?!?), I’m looking forward to wrap up the year way better than it started. With some stability, routine, and predictability looking forward.
Especially in my business. Looking forward to some positive changes in my services and improved client delivery.
So here’s to a good Fall season, y’all!

You know that annoying objection you get when you’re chatting it up with a potential client and they say “I thought this was way cheaper.”? Or maybe just feeling like you’re not getting a lot of ideal clients knocking at your door? What gives?! You’ve got your prices on your site, and doing to sell your services.....Yeah, this means you’ve got LOW brand equity.
🗣When someone jumps on your website, and its giving off the all the cheap vibes and attracting folks who can’t afford you...you’re NOT in alignment with your ideal people.
Yeah, your offerings are super valuable, but how will they know this if your DIY website isn’t playing on your team?
It might be time to address that value conflict and get your website strategy, visuals and brand identity up to speed.
This is how you gain (and maintain) that brand equity: by visually aligning the value of your site to the value of your offerings.

I’ve said this before but it bears repeating...

Did you know that if 77% of brands around today disappear off the face of the earth, no one give an eff?
And what’s more, 76% of people EXPECT brands to bring some kind of value into their lives.
Any correlation, ya think? 🤔
Here’s the thing: Brands play a BIG role in our lives...we just don’t consciously realize it. 🥸
Peopl VALUE meaningful, caring brands. When we build connections with the people we’re looking to serve (through meaningful communication), we’re creating a relationship with them and taking up invaluable space in their hearts and lives.
Next time you send that email or write that post, Susan....think: “how is this serving my people? Are they getting value out of this?”
Because .
Branding is a heart-centered, invaluable, strategy to create change in someone’s life.
