I am often asked what is the most important thing when starting a heart based biz online. Most people believe it's creating a course or product or an ebook… bit it isn't.

The #1 important thing every heart based entrepreneur who wants to be successful online needs to do FIRST is...

Figure out who their dream client is and build a list of their dream clients. (Yes, I know that's technically two things).

A list is the ONE thing no online business (heart based or otherwise) can be without. If you do not have a list then you do not have an online business.

But what about creating content? What about YouTube videos and Facebook ads? What about Social Media?

All of those are important and should be used to BUILD YOUR LIST first. Why?

⭐️ A list is something you OWN. Once you build it it costs you nothing to send out emails and let people know about your product and services. Facebook ads cost money and the cost keep going up!
⭐️ Facebook keeps changing the rules about their ads. What was approved today may not be approved tomorrow.
⭐️ Social media keeps changing and platforms come and go. (Remember Tom from MySpace? AOL? Friendster?) There is no guarantee Facebook (or any of the now popular platforms) will be around in 6 months or a year from now.

An engaged list of your dream clients will always be there for you regardless of the changes to the social media landscape.

And it's easy to build relationships with your list through email because you can talk directly to them through email and tell them if your journey… your struggles and successes.

It is said that a well maintained, targeted and engaged mailing list should generate $1 per name on the list per month.
