Sometimes, most of us are too occupied to look up from what we’re doing.
Most of the time, we cling so tightly to success that we’re terrified of failing.
But here’s the irony: the reason you haven’t gotten that thing right might be because you’re taking it too seriously. You’re being too aggressive with it. And that’s exactly what will make you fail.

Who told you failure is a curse?
Who told you your effort isn’t enough?
Who told you can’t walk away from it?

My brother, life isn’t always what it seems. There are other paths you can take. They might even be better and still get you to the end goal you want.

In B2B SaaS tech, some common mistakes that are constant (and can trip you up) include:

1. Not understanding customer pain points deeply enough - Solutions miss the mark if you don’t grasp the real problems.
2. Overcomplicating the product/UI - Simplicity wins in SaaS. Don’t make users think too hard.
3. Ignoring data-driven decisions - Metrics guide growth. Not tracking the right KPIs = guessing.
4. Not talking to customers enough - Constant feedback loops with users = product fit.
5. Sales & marketing not aligned - Leads die when messaging doesn’t match the buyer journey.

Do you know that many of us are so consumed by our work that we don't have the space to go out to new environments for inspiration or to even create the space to learn? The real question now is, what you have in you today — can it serve us in the future to come and be valued for years to come? There is a need for improvement, there is a need for growth, and there is still room for growth. This is one of the reasons why I love the Western world — because they make room for improvement and growth. Another thing is, what environment gives you inspiration? What environment gives the room to learn?

If I ask anyone what success is, many will say it's the achievement of something or someone. But the truth is, success isn't just about reaching an endpoint — it's one's courage, strength, resilience, and ability to show up even when it's not working out yet. Yeah, sometimes I understand that early celebration may kill enthusiasm, agility, and the drive that comes with anticipating something big. So, even in the process, celebrate the little steps you've taken... and anticipate more.

I have sold firewood with my mum. It didn't make enough money, we shut it down.

I sold airtime. Shut it down.

I tried business registration services. Shut it down.

I sold chicken. Shut it down.

I started an egg business. That one too didn't work.

Right now my major income comes from my certificate, and I am still exploring, still trying, still taking my chances.

You might not look at me and call me a failure, after all, something is working. But the truth is I have failed at more things than I have succeeded at.

I had a hit. Just one. And that one is covering for everything else.

Now let me tell you something about a man you would never call a failure.

Dangote.

Here are five businesses Dangote walked away from:

1. Liberty Merchant Bank
2. Dangote Textile
3. Dangote Noodles
4. Dangote Telecoms
5. Dangote Flour Mills

Five businesses. Gone. But one refinery, one cement company, one sugar empire, and suddenly nobody is counting the losses anymore.

He had a hit. And that hit changed everything.

You don't need to win every time. You just need one win to cover for all your losses.

Life is like a buffet, you have the freedom to taste whatever you want, and eventually settle for what truly works for you.

You can fail as a musician and succeed as a dancer. You can fail as a fashion designer and succeed as a clothing retailer.

But here is the question I want to ask you today:

Are you giving yourself the chance to succeed?

You just need one win. And everything will come together.

I stumbled upon this gem in my former manager's office: "Split your goals into yearly, monthly, weekly, daily; if possible, hourly." 📅 Since then, it's been a game-changer for me! When I was growing my Twitter account, I applied this and saw results. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step at a time 🚀🚀

Economic factors significantly impact businesses in Nigeria. The key factors affecting organizations include:

- *Energy Costs*: Soaring energy costs, including prices of petrol, diesel, and electricity, are the primary driver of inflationary pressure, with 90.8% of respondent firms highlighting this as a major concern.
- *Exchange Rate Volatility*: Fluctuations in the naira's value against other currencies affect import costs, export revenue, and foreign debt obligations, making it challenging for businesses to operate.
- *Transportation Costs*: High transportation costs, including road, air, rail, and water logistics, are another significant pressure point, cited by 87.2% of firms.
- *Inflation*: Rising inflation reduces consumer purchasing power, increases production costs, and affects businesses' pricing power.
- *Interest Rates*: High interest rates increase borrowing costs, affecting capital allocation decisions and investment feasibility

The highest factor affecting organizations in Nigeria is *energy costs*, followed closely by exchange rate volatility and transportation costs

These economic factors can impact businesses' profitability, cash flow, and long-term sustainability.
