Andrea Chiampo () by his work at .co “Quantum Hex Machina” at last night’s opening, that we helped print on Hahnemühle Museum Etching.

Described as an encrypted image suspended in crypotographic limbo, this puzzle is a portal to an exclusive 1 of 1 artwork that can only be unscrambled by the singular owner of the physical piece.

Welcome back Martin! Rejoice – everyone’s favourite Polish Photoshop Wizard & Scanning Maestro is back on two feet again. While we would love to say that he’s hard at work doing what he does best, sadly here he is instead agonizing over reprint after reprint on Innova Exhibition Cotton Gloss.

What other paper needs 2 rolls to get 5 prints right?

Abominable quality control and years of unaccountability and inaction lead us back to this point again and again. Yellow stains that are clearly from exposure and contamination, dark fibers and hairs that litter the roll every few inches, uneven coating, some things we can’t even guess what they are …

Paper is what we love, and paper is what we should be able to rely on. It’s a shame can’t meet us eye to eye on that let alone level us a proper response. Thanks for the time and money wasted though!

And yes, we have receipts.

To start off the year, here is a proof of Chateau de Josselin, Morbihan, Brittany (circa 1860s - 90s) for the exhibition “Monument Historique: 19th Century Photographs by Séraphin-Médéric Mieusement” at OPENING TONIGHT, Jan 23 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Our studio helped to scan, restore, and print eleven photographs from the original albumen prints. Printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo Gloss Baryta. Thank Westwood for working with us, and hope to see you all at the show.
