From all of us to you, happy holidays and happy New Year! We celebrated 2022 with a great tour of the Museum of the City of New York's Activist New York exhibit, plus some fun gingerbread houses. Then it was off to Red Rooster Harlem for a delicious lunch. Finally, we were so lucky to tour The Brotherhood Sister Sol's beautiful new building!

As social impact communicators, we know that words matter. This , we want to highlight an important federal change — the removal of a racist, sexist slur for Indigenous women from 650 public lands. The change “affirms the value of Indigenous women,” Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland (Pueblo of Laguna) says, and “ensures our public lands and waters are accessible and welcoming.”

It's just a word. But words have power.
