Day 2 is on and running! 🏃‍♂️‍➡️ We started this morning with a message on mentoring from Cindy Warner, APR, NSPRA School Communicator of the Year — we’re ready to mentor and be mentored! Followed it up with Gold Mine Sessions where attendees bounced around tables to learn quickly about things we can bring back to our districts. Then, a panel led by Terry Spradlin of ISBA, discussed legislation and promoting how to balance the books and boost the story in your schools. (Panel members: Dr. Chad Briggs, Silver Creek Schools; Krista Stockman, APR, Ft. Wayne Community Schools; Dr. Jake Allen & Susan Haynes, Mooresville Schools)

Please join us in celebrating our 2026 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗠𝗮𝘆, Director of Student & Family Engagement at MSD Decatur Township, and our 2026 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘌𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻, Digital Media Coordinator from MSD of Lawrence Township.

These professionals represent the very best of what it means to lead with clarity, integrity, and purpose in service to public education. Their work strengthens trust, supports students and families, and elevates the voice of their districts every single day.

We also extend our sincere thanks to 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻, Chief Communications and Strategic Partnerships Officer at Warsaw Community Schools, as she concludes her service on the INDSPRA Board. Her leadership, steady guidance, and commitment to our profession have made a lasting impact.

Our keynote speaker today is Kathy Nimmer, 2015 Indiana Teacher of the Year, talking to our group about Silver and Gold: Rediscovering Treasure and Learning How To Treasure It. We took our bouncing balls and learned how to enjoy the journey up AND back down. Thank you, Kathy!
