On September 18, 2006, Willie Nelson was 73 years old, still touring, still doing things Willie Nelson-style… and apparently still keeping the tour bus interesting.

Police stopped Willie’s bus near Lafayette, Louisiana, and found ma*****na and magic mushrooms onboard. Willie and four members of his band were charged with drug possession.

At this point, finding w**d on Willie Nelson’s tour bus feels a little like finding guitar picks at a rock show.

The mushrooms, though?

That’s a plot twist. 😂🌿🍄

Never underestimate a bunch of determined nerds with postage stamps.

On September 17, 1976 NASA rolled out its first Space Shuttle orbiter, and it was supposed to be called Constitution.

Then Star Trek fans started writing letters.

Lots of letters.

They wanted NASA to name it Enterprise and somehow, it worked!

President Gerald Ford got behind the idea, NASA changed the name, and members of the original Star Trek cast were there when Enterprise made its public debut.

Proof that sometimes if enough people complain…the government actually listens. 😂🖖

Grab the chips, crank up the classic rock and celebrate one of mankind’s greatest accomplishments: Taking an avocado, smashing it to pieces, throwing in some peppers and somehow making it better.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, sacrifice, and compassion that followed.

Twenty-five years later, the images and stories of that day remain with us.

May we never forget those we lost, those who served, and the way Americans stood together in the days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
