Great write-up explaining the difference between images and true print-ready artwork. Definitely worth the read if youโve ever wondered why some graphics work for printing and others need to be recreated.

With the rise of AI tools and online logo makers, more people than ever are creating graphics themselves. These tools can be great for ideas and inspiration, but when it comes to printing graphics for vehicles, signs, and banners, the files people send over arenโt always ready for production.
This is something we get questions about all the time, so we thought weโd explain it!
1๏ธโฃ Not all images are created the same:
Most images you see online are made up of tiny squares called pixels. That works great for websites and social media, but when those images are enlarged for wraps, banners, or signage, they can become blurry or grainy.
Print graphics are usually vector files, which means they can scale to any size without losing quality.
2๏ธโฃ Changing the file type doesnโt change the image:
We sometimes receive files that have been converted from JPG, PNG, TIF, to EPS, AI, or even PDF. While the file type changed, the image inside is still the same low-resolution graphic.
Simply saving or converting a file doesnโt turn it into a vector.
3๏ธโฃ Graphics need to fit real-world measurements:
Images found online or generated by software donโt know the exact size of a truck door, storefront window, or banner. Designers have to properly size and prepare graphics to fit the real-world space.
4๏ธโฃ Logos and artwork often need to be rebuilt:
Low-resolution images, screenshots, or generated graphics often need to be redrawn so the lines, shapes, and fonts are clean enough for large-format printing.
Thatโs why every project at Reaction Wraps goes through one of our in-house designers to make sure it not only looks great, but also prints correctly in the real world.
